What is Christian education? As school choice funds and parent options increase, that question becomes ever more important to be able to articulate clearly.
Each school must examine and coalesce around what Christian Education will mean in their setting:
For current staff, parents, and students- To create a culture of cohesion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
For prospective staff, parents, and students- To determine if a mutually supportive relationship is possible.
If a school is not telling potential families, current faculty, and students how Christian Education is represented in the organization, it allows those people to determine this for themselves in whatever way they are most comfortable with- leading to confusion, conflict, and tempered enthusiasm.
If a Christian school chooses to compete in the free market of school choice funding, it must be especially transparent so comparisons can lead to informed decisions on whether or not to associate voluntarily. This is fair and respectful.
With Bible Passages and discussion, this workbook guides a Christian school faculty through these questions to a place of clear conviction that can be publically conveyed.
